PAC2 LISTSERVE

PURPOSE
We are here because, as responsible citizens, we are part of the solution to the problems that exist in our communities. Problems with criminal or unruly activity, deteriorated structures and landscapes affect all of our neighborhoods.

It is our hope to educate and empower citizens with information on how to access the resources available to them in various areas, such as crime prevention, safety, and housing. When you come to the PAC you bring not only the concerns about your individual neighborhoods but also unique visions and ideas from which we all can learn.

Please take the time to understand what we are about and help offer solutions that will benefit all of us in our community. Many of the sustained solutions to our problems will come from us all working towards the same ideals for all of our neighborhoods. We are here to learn and teach one another. Please understand that the goal of this listserve is to provide a means of open and constructive communication where people may speak freely. Yet, with this comes the responsibility of being thoughtful and meaningful.

There are many new users on this list. If mistakes are made, please be supportive and encouraging. When replying to a post, consider whether your reply would benefit the List, or if your reply is best suited for the individual. When posting, give a descriptive Subject so that readers will know what your post is regarding. Use links (beginning with http://) to reference large documents or web pages.

MODERATED STATUS
In the event that the above guidelines are disregarded by a member, a Moderator may use his/her discretion to warn the individual and subsequently place the individual on moderated status.

An individual on moderated status –CAN- post to the listserv, however, moderated posts must be approved by a Moderator. Moderated posts are reviewed as promptly as possible and are generally approved to be posted to the listserve. Posts that are unacceptable or perpetuate a problem will be returned with the request to have it rewritten or reworded so that it is not inflammatory or misleading.

Warnings for inappropriate use will be sent via a private email from a moderator to the individual.
